Project Officer, Innovative and Personalized Medicine Unit, European Commission
Anders Colver is Project Officer in the Innovative and Personalised Medicine Unit of the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation at the European Commission. He specialises in project management and health research policy in the areas of personalised medicine and rare diseases.
Before joining the European Commission, Anders worked for the Research Directors Group of the European Federation for Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA). In this position he was involved in the creation and launch of the Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI), the world's largest public-private partnership in life sciences.
Personalised Medicine: A Priority for Europe
Personalised medicine is one of the watchwords of Horizon 2020, the biggest EU-funding programme ever for research and innovation. In 2016-17 a large part of the 950 million euro budget will be awarded to research and innovation actions focused on personalising health and care through better prediction, prevention, treatment, and care strategies.
